The CCC dock has 64 slips for moorage, and is located at the end of Birch Street in Coyle. There are several parking spots for automobiles, including 1 designated disabled-accessible space. Vehicles with trailers should park in the upper spaces.
Your key fob (issued when you become a member) will let you access the dock gate (and for Dock members, the launch gate.) Be sure to close them when you're finished entering/exiting, and please pack out your own garbage.
The slips are fitted with fore and aft cleats and small edge bumpers. There are no assigned or reserved positions for your boat - moorage is first come, first served.
All members using the club dock must be familiar with, and abide by the club dock rules. By doing so, you ensure safety, environmental stewardship, and continued access to this wonderful resource. All boats moored must display a current CCC sticker, and current vessel registration as required by law.
All boats of 14 feet or less, and kayaks and canoes, should be moored on the inside of the dock, which is the side that is closest to the parking lot. Fisherman Harbor is a no-wake zone. Please keep your speed under 5MPH.
Unfortunately our dock, launch, and facilities don't maintain themselves. Those of us who value this amenity pitch in regularly to make much needed repairs and improvements to keep it in top shape. We also work together to keep Alder St. and Wolf Road maintained and clear. Work parties are a great way to get involved, meet your fellow club members, and maybe receive some critical fishing, shrimping and crabbing intel from local experts!
Thanks to all of the volunteers who put their effort towards keeping this resource accessible year-round. Stay tuned to the Newsletter and Calendar for updates on the next work party!
Volunteers replaced the old wooden ramp deck with new grating in 2022. This fulfilled a DNR Lease Requirement and will provide us with a durable, non-slip walking surface for decades to come.
A new low-profile dock, suitable for kayak, SUP, and rowing shell launch was installed in June 2024, thanks to help from these volunteers!
Fisherman Harbor is a “half tide” harbor meaning that the entrance is not navigable at lower tides. Generally a neutral tide is 5 feet – so if your boat draws 2 feet, you’d best wait for a 7 foot tide. Normally there is a large bar running across that is difficult to see during higher tides.
The entrance channel changes from year to year as sediment deposits get rearranged by tides, runoff, and wave action. In recent years, channel markers have been placed by club volunteers to show the best alignment for crafts entering and exiting, but use your own best judgement. Consult the tide charts, go slow, and use a depth finder if you have one. Other members at the dock can offer their help/insight if needed - don't hesitate to ask a fellow member!
Disclaimer: The Club does not have jurisdiction over the channel nor does it have the authority to maintain navigability through dredging or other methods. All boaters assume the risks of navigating these waters and are responsible for their own safety.
